Virus Fractal Patterns

Virus Fractal Patterns: What is a Virus?

Science, Nature

A virus is a microscopic life form that needs a host organism to survive and replicate. A virus finds a host and "infects" it, making its home there.

Viruses can infect other microorganisms, bacteria, plants, and animals by invading individual cells within a host organism.

Virus structure is very simple: genetic material, DNA or RNA, and protein or lipid coating.

The size and type of nucleic acid varies along with the size and shape of the capsid that encloses the nucleic acid.

An animal or human's immune system works to fight a virus and stop its spread.

Vaccines can also slow or stop the spread of viruses.

Three main types of virus structures:
The hollow cylinder or helical
The envelope
The nearly spherical icosahedral shape.
The polyhedral sphere.

Viruses are the most abundant life form on the planet.

Virus infections or pandemics cannot be cured, but their spread can be slowed or prevented with a vaccine.

Historical outbreaks of viruses include:

Smallpox
Measles
Coronavirus
Hepatitis
HIV
Flu
Bubonic Plague

Scientists believe that the strength or fatalness of a virus is associated with its geometric fractal nature, where the more fractalness, the more fatal.
