Bible

The Song of Solomon or Songs describes the love and affection between man and wife and is symbolic of the Love of Jesus and the Church.

The Song of Solomon is attributed to King Solomon and is a short, eight chapter, 117-verse work.

The main characters in the song are the bride, a Shulamite girl, the King Solomon, and a chorus comprised of the daughters of Jerusalem.

In the song, the girl searches for her love as he wanders and eventually visits him.

The Song of Solomon is unique in that it contains no laws or wisdom but rather expresses the love and affection between a man and a woman.
