The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price
by Owen Borville
January 8, 2021
Bible

Jesus explained the Parable of the Pearl of Great Price:

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46.

Jesus' message is that what you have is less valuable than the Kingdom of Heaven. The message is that when you discover the kingdom of heaven, you want to sell or give away everything you have in order to gain the treasures of the Kingdom of heaven. Nothing in this world on Earth is more valuable than the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever values things on this Earth more than the Kingdom of Heaven will not be worthy to enter and certainly not be allowed to enter.
